Random: What if...?

You see, some people are arrogant, just because they think it makes them look tough or something, and yet they have some deep emotional problem like low self esteem.

I don't think being arrogant makes me look though, the only thing that really makes oneself look though is being though. As for low self esteem, well, the people who knows me tend to say I'm just the opposite, that I value myself too much. Anyways, you're free to think anything you want.


People working as a team can accomplish all kinds of things, just look at WW2, countries working as a whole, a team, to over come.

Working as a team is good and productive, and it's the only way to achieve a lot of things. However, this is right if and only if it comes out of everybody's individual will, not some imposed working bee culture, and the best teams are those where its different individuals have different strong and weak points, so they are all strong together and may do everything.


If you get an arrogant music guy and he does the music without looking at the game but he sees himself as so good that he doesn't even need to know about the game, then you have a problem, the final outcome will have plenty of flaws.

I'm not calling you arrogant, I'm using some people that are arrogant have low self esteem and are arrogant because of this to boost their confidence. I was not refering to you, just using the trait of arrogance as an example.

It didn't, but it is a part of it, in some people it is a major part and in other it is minute.

Well, in that case, I think one should always try to get "best of the best" team members (for example, in games, the best music composer, the best story writer, etc.), and they should be pretty confident and motivated, but they need to work together for the team to be as glorious together as they are separately. If arrogancy gets in the way of the team's cohesion, it'll botch the job. But everybody should defend his/her points on how to do the product, it's a good sign that they argue about things because it means they are really motivated and want the best for the project. I can remember the directors of Xenosaga (Takahashi) and Shenmue (Suzuki) both mentioned the teams have had lots of arguments because every team member cared a lot for the game and he/she was not going to accept easily something that differs from their idea of what's best for the game. And I don't think it's a coincidence that both games are so great and scream of motivation on developers' behalf, with every little detail in every game aspect being taken care of and extremely polished.

We've turned into a What if debate now.

I really have just been explaining a massive what if. I think it's true though.

I can understand where you are coming from, Wiseman.

Let's conclude this and get back to the random what ifs.

Nope; if you look through the conventional visor you'll still see it, but once the picture gets taken, digital or not, or the video is recorded, all the X-ray information is lost. You'd need an X-ray camera for that. They take an X-ray picture and represent it with regular colors in a regular picture.

Germany would have had what it had Hitler or not; Hitler just led the masses to what they wanted. After the first world war, things ended too unfairly for Germany. The people got seriously screwed. They were being invaded by immigrants. And I know the later feeling. I think it's partly understandable how the Germans felt after the first WW, and it's partly understandable (though not condonable) what they became. We have to admit some of the origins of nazism, like pride and confidence in one's nation, are good things. Then it got extreme, mixed with all sorts of evil, sucked majorly, and caused a bunch of deaths. But it was not like Hitler did that all alone (remember he won the election and people supported him), nor it happened because Hitler just felt like it; there were some very wrong things in Germany that fueled all of this.

BTW, why is Le Pen getting more support every day in France? Because France is swarmed with muslims. (Might be one of the reasons why France tends to act so gay too.) I don't support Le Pen, he's an ol' bustard. But he's getting support for a reason, as Hitler did. And I know how disgusting is to be invaded by uneducated immigrants with savage cultures that come to kill, transport drugs, steal, and build a savage sub-culture that spoils your nice country, plus might give a bad image. Not all immigrants are like this, of course not. Civilized immigrants from this or other cultures are honorable and hard working. And it's not like they have to be rich. Most of the Chinese here are nice people who work hard and open business. But some other immigrants aren't, and you know who I am referring to.

BTW, lately I've been being very pissed off at muslims for a wide set of reasons including bombing a building near mine, sorry if I'm being to bitchy and ranting too much in the forum, including this post.

I doubt this very much too; not much could be done before the USSR realized communism sucked big and dismantled itself. I don't think there's a single man in the world that would guarantee peace and all that; as long as somebody wants a fight, he/she'll get a fight.

The job issue is something many Spanish complain about, and I find it respectable, but I don't think it's an issue myself, so I didn't mention it in my previous post. Unskilled immigrants usually take the jobs the Spanish don't want to do, and get paid half as much as a Spanish would get. Only people with major education from a variety of countries from France to China take the same jobs as the Spanish. Even so, the past governments did an amazing good job with unemployment, which is now lower than Germany, for example, so I don't think this is too much a problem.


Mexicans have their good people and their bad people

Yeah, there are a few of them here but not so many because it's cheaper to go to the States. What we get a lot is center and south Americans. Some of them are cool, others aren't. AFAIK their cool-to-uncool ratio is slightly lower than with Mexicans though. And my issue with Africans and in particular muslims is that their cool-to-uncool ratio tends to zero.

I know extreme patriotism ends up making no sense or being fairly ridiculous. The USA stereotype over here wears the USA flag in his boxers. Even so, I think some Europeans aren't as patriotic as they should be. Maybe a mid path between Europe and USA would be ideal.

That's IF he's qualified to do the job, and he's well-intentioned, and he's hard working. I'm sure a high % of Mexicans are. But it's not the same when you get immigration from Africa who doesn't even know how to write, and out of all the words, "work" is the one they are less used to. Immigrants mainly from Africa but also from some regions and cultures of Eastern Europe (gypsies) and central and south America tend to come here to break the law, not to work. Hard-working immigrants from other European countries, CJK, North America, and other countries, as well as some from Africa and anywhere, are welcome though, and they do help with one of Spain's main problems which is population growth, so how could I dislike them. I don't mind it when they bring over interesting cultures like the Chinese either, as long as they are respectful, integrate with the Spanish, and work under the frame of our own, which includes sexual equality.
